Welcome to Summer Reading!

Summer at the Norfolk Public Library is going to be green-tacular! Your goal is to read, or be read to, at least 100 minutes per week. Read books, magazines, short stories, websites, newspapers, the back of the cereal box, ANYTHING! So keep reading, track your minutes online and you'll be in for some awesome surprises! There are links and information all around this website to help you get set up for this season. Questions about anything? Email Andrea, Youth Librarian or call the library at 508-528-3380 x5. Start with the "Sign Up!" link below to get started.

Read for the Trees!

This summer, we are thinking less about ourselves and more about our environment. With that in mind, we have a goal, as a town, of reading 50,000 minutes! If we reach it, the library, with funds donated from the Friends of the Library will adopt an acre of the Appalachians from the Nature Conservancy. What does that mean? Well, the Nature Conservancy will use this money to acquire land, restore forested lands, establish conservation easements, promote sustainable forest management and combat invasive species.

But we need you to keep reading! We can read for 50,000 minutes, right?! Take a look at how we're doing so far:
