Welcome to Summer Reading!
Summer at the Norfolk Public Library is going to be green-tacular! Your goal is to read, or be read to, at least 100 minutes per week. Read books, magazines, short stories, websites, newspapers, the back of the cereal box, ANYTHING! So keep reading, track your minutes online and you'll be in for some awesome surprises! There are links and information all around this website to help you get set up for this season. Questions about anything? Email Andrea, Youth Librarian or call the library at 508-528-3380 x5. Start with the "Sign Up!" link below to get started.
Track Your Reading
Your goal for this summer is to read, or be read to, at least one hundred minutes per week during the six weeks of our summer reading program. In an effort to be more environmentally conscious, we are doing more than ever to be a paperless reading program. Therefore, unlike in summers past, there will be no need to print out your reading log; it will be all online. Here's how to keep track of what you're reading:
Step One:
Click here or type into your address bar www.readsinma.org/norfolk.
Step Two:
Sign in with your Username and Password (from when you signed up).
Step Three:
Under your "Activity Center," click on "Add/View Log."
Step Four:
Enter in the number of minutes you read for the week. If you like, you can also add a review of the books you've been reading. This will help your fellow readers when they want to read something new!
And don't forget to press "Save"!
Once you saved your information, you will see your reading log at the bottom of the page. Now, you can see everything you read and time you spent reading it!
After you've completed your reading, come into the library to claim your prizes!
